Default *HELP* I Need this Bose Subwoofer Booster Amp

I spilled some liquad in the back of the Cayenne and it got down into the little booster amp on the bottom of the subwoofer encloser that the spare tire sits on...made a lot of funny sounds and quit.

I need Porsche part number 955-645-010-00

I'll buy this part or the whole subwoofer to get the part. Hoping to find someone that has removed the Bose system in their Cayenne and has this laying around.

thanks!

Now that brings back memories.
The famous 100W SWAMP. That design has been around forever, a Bose classic.

Mike, LARS sometimes appear on eBay. A somehow better alternative.

Mike, have you tried popping the lid on the box to see if maybe an obvious electronic component has failed? If you're good with a soldering iron, it doesn't hurt to try.

I dug out Larry's Rolodex and have an email out to one of the folks who designed it (no names, he's shy); he will try to locate one.

Should hear back next week.

Lewis THANKS....

Andy I have opened it up....I tried cleaning it with electric contact cleaner but that did not work.

I found the whole subwoofer assembly at LA Dismantlers for $300...I've read a bunch of bad stuff about the on Rennlist so I did not buy it...waiting it out for now to see what if might find in the next month or so.

Mike it's a very good (and very expensive) amplifier.
My weak attempt for a joke was further sabotaged, when the inserted image disappeared.

Back to the GT forum now.

I also had the slight misfortune of my spare coolant container being punctured and leaking coolant in to the spare wheel well and drowning the subwoofer amplifier. Did you find any other avenues to obtain that particular component? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I've found nothing yet with finding a used one. LA Dismatlers will sell a used subwoofer with this amp for $300 plus shipping.

I'd think there be some people out there that have put in a after market audio system and wanting to sell off this part.

mdrums, I'm looking for the same amp. The sound to my radio keeps mysteriously disappearing then reappearing. Have you had any luck yet in locating one?
