Default Drivers side wet carpet

I found the passenger side on my wifes 2006 cayenne Turbo S was wet. Unplugged the evaporator drain line and thought the problem was fixed. I found the drivers side wet as well yesterday while cleaning the car. My question is does the evap have two drains or just one? I am having wierd messages as well on the display that I have heard was from the Can Bus getting moisture in it. I pulled up the carpet and did not see any connectors although the wire was wet. The water may be entering through the windshield wiper area or the sunroof? Any help appreciated

Water will run over into the drivers side if the ac drain is blocked. Was it clogged when you cleaned it? If so, probably some residual water in the vents. Make sure you take out the cabin filter and let it dry out as well.

where is the ac drain? perhaps that is why i had to pull the sub frame plugs. my pig was sloshing around every corner and full stop.. an un-nerving sound. Thankfully no water spilled in the cabin.

i had the same issue, it was a clogged AC drain, a little water on drivers side, but much more on passenger.

You need to stick a dowel or flexible tube through the drain pipe until it pokes into the engine bay. You can see the drainage flap on the firewall from the engine bay. Sometimes this flap gets sealed closed due to muck from the AC and/or engine bay and it needs to be unsealed. Hence the need to poke through a dowel or tube (I used fine sprinkler pipe). Be careful not to kink the AC pipe when you slide it back on. Hope this helps.

I was able to use some compressed air and also ran some weed wacker line through the pipe. Seems to get clogged every six months or so. I now keep the tools in the car to fix in the problem if it happens away from home. I am able to take care of it in only a couple of minutes now.

2004 S version. An amazing amount of water on the passenger side. I'm talking gallons!! All the way to the edge of the back seat. Had to pull the seat out, all the carpets were soaking wet, took me two weeks to dry it. Today I spray some water on top of the car and sure enough it poored in like the niagara falls. It comes in from behind the blower motor. There's some sort of cover there against the firewall and the water comes in non stop. I have no clue what's behind that cover but it seems like I should be able to tell once I remove the wheel and the plastic cover. Never had this happen on any car ever!! I will post some pictures later on that I've been taking as I go along. Haven't been able to drive it for over 2 weeks now afraid that it will rain and create another lagoon in there. Even the wad of cables were soaking wet, had to remove the black tape around them to dry it all. An incredible mess guys!!!
