I went through this already about this time last year.

Best price by far was from Suncoast parts:

Same sensors as the ones I needed. Do no forget that you will also need the valve stem for each. Option B:

Tire Rack charged me 117 ea (installed) when I purchased a set of 18" Porsche take offs with Blizzaks last fall. (958)
Suncoast has a good price.

the cayenne i just picked up has new tires but no TPMS. So when I start the car it tells me there is tire pressure monitoring. What's involved with installing the sensors? Is it a DIY type of job? Sorry for my ignorance.. still getting up to speed.

You need to take the tires off the wheels in order to install the TPMS.

Actually I don't think you need to take the tires off the wheels completely. If you just break the bead seal I think you can get the sensor in and then just reinflate. You'll definitely need to rebalance though...

OK cool that gives me some context... they go inside the wheel and do in fact monitor tire pressure (duh). How do they communicate with the car (ecu) if they are trapped in that space? Sorry for the noob ?'s..
