This can't be safe?

Called the salesman and not an hour later they had rotors, pads, wear sensors, caliper bolts and retaining pin/springs at the parts counter of the Porsche dealer. They offered to do it, but I like to do my own work.
The truck was purchased used from the Ferrari dealer, Porsche nor Ferrari did this; but they handled it beyond my expectations. I didn't have to ask for pads and the related hardware to do it right.
Do I win a pack of bacon for my first day of ownership?
You didn't get the quarks with yours?

thanks, its oil based rustolium. It has held up very well over the years.
The truck didn't have front brakes, it wasn't a matter of it being used or a warranty item. I think they did the right thing.
If it was noticed in the "used car service inspection" im sure it would have been dealt with at that time.

They obviously did not do an inspection -- thats my point.
You can't do an inspection without looking at the brakes ...... and it's sort of impossible to miss that!
It is no better at many Porsche dealers.

I bought mine CPO almost 3 yrs ago from Farmingham (not exact name but I think it's close) in NJ. I was given the "pre CPO" service invoice which included brakes/rotors on the front (rears are still good 30k mi. later), 4 new tires, oil change and a few other items. So not all of them are just "blessed".

I got the same for my GTS at a Merc dealer no less. That said, I had to push to make it happen as part of the deal...
New brakes & tires all around, 4 wheel alignment, oil change, few inside trim pieces, and a tiny bit of leather touch up...
