Default 2011 V6 Brakes

A friend of mine has a panamera V6 and i just noticed that hate panamera comes with slotted rotters, while my cayenne V6 does not. Anyone know if the rotors are the only difference in the brake systems between to 2? Wonder if the slotted rotters would be a worthwhile upgrade in the future. The V6 aren't as good as i had hoped.

"The Effect of Rotor Crossdrilling on Brake Performance" by two GM engineers published in 2006. published that drilled provides 21% more friction than standard rotors. This was looking at sport sedans and such. Th biggest advantage is cooling to prevent fade.

Unless you plan on tracking it for doing repeated stops from 100 - 0, the stock brakes are just fine vs slotted rotors. The limiting factors on braking distance in the V6 are tires and weight.

Probably one of the ways they got the base price on the Cayenne so much lower than the Panamera.

100-to 0 does not only happen on the track

Repeated stops from 100 - 0: I hope that is at the track.
