Default Driveshaft replacement?

Friends, I am looking at a CPO '08 V6 with 35k. The Carfax indicates that at 34k miles the driveshaft was removed and replaced. Is this the same issue as the cardan shaft that I have seen in the archives? Is it typical of this vintage, and once replaced is it likely to be a required fix again? I do not know what is involved, but it sounds expensive.
Thanks
David

Default Drive Shaft

Just had mine replaced on my 04 S. I had 77k miles and this was my first one. Dealer told me the bushing was going and showed me the play in it, otherwise I would not have known. Total cost $1,500 minus 20% discount the dealer was offering. Bill says cardon shaft replacement. Hope this helps.

35K miles does seem awfully premature but you never know.

had it done on mine along with most of the other typical CTT items. All under warranty so only a guess at the price. If you have CPO there is nothing to worry about. Just make sure you keep a close eye on things to make sure everything is fixed under CPO

Default Driveshaft

Center bearing bushings went. Driveshaft cost 800.00,replaced it myself. You must remove all bolts at transmission, rear and centerbearing. I unbolted the exhaust at the muffler, this willallow you enough room to pull it out from the back an get the new one in.
