Hi,
My Nov 2005 Cayenne S Tiptronic has just passed the 114K mile mark and as it's almost one year since it's last service (9000 miles) I was thinking of having an Engine Oil change and also with regards to overall mileage of 114K, was thinking of having the Transmission Fluid changed too....?
The car has a full Porsche OPC service history and has been serviced approximately every 1 year (or 20K Miles). Should I just book it into my local OPC to have this carried out or use a local Independant specialist....?
Am I being too cautious or would you recommend both....?
Also what Engine Oil and Transmission Fluid would you recommend with regards to the mileage on my Cayenne...?
Thanks in anticipation for your thoughts/input.....

One thought is to have the fluid changed fairly early and to do it regularly, say every 50~60K otherwise if it's high mileage and never been done to not do it as a high mileage tranny may have some built up gunk/varnis, or other debri that fresh fluid could cause to break loose and then plug up some of the small tranny passages before the fluid makes it to the filter. I know I've heard of problems with ZF & GM Hydromatic high mileage trannies but not sure if the Aisin design in our Pigs is just a supceptible to the same problems?
