Don't let them visit the Porsche plant in Zuffenhausen. While on the factory tour I watched the workers break for five minutes on the hour for a bottle of beer, right adjacent to the production line, and then return to work. Now that would really give Fox something to get indignant about.

Hired a number of Durangos in the States, at the end of the hire contract I always had a glove-box full of parts which had fallen off.
Owned a Jeep Wrangler for a number of years, fun car: quality nightmare!

They used to be AWD, allowing Jeep to claim a 5 second 0-60 time in wet or dry conditions. I'm not sure if that's still the case. The original AWD version didn't offer a proper low range, as I recall, but this isn't an issue with this type of vehicle anyway.

From the press release...
The standard Jeep Quadra-Trac active on-demand four-wheel-drive transfer case uses input from a variety of sensors in order to determine tire slip at the earliest possible moment and take corrective action. The system uses Throttle Anticipate to sense quick movement in the throttle from a stop and maximizes traction before slippage occurs. When tire slippage is detected, the Jeep 4x4 system can transfer up to 100 percent of available torque to one rear wheel.

straight shot down a run way fun only.......I got a Cayenne and Jeep wrangler in 2006 at the same time.....had to sell the jeep last fall.
It fell apart like a leper and never got quite right back together........very cheap to fix but became extreme liability unless I wanted to walk or pull over for 40 minutes for the radiator to stop boiling over.
I sold the jeep and can throw a few hundred bucks more at the 06 pig while decided what the heck I am gonna buy in 12 months........my dollars dont stretch as far as they used to in early 2000's

Hey Paolo,
Good luck with the Jeep! Although not our choice, my best friends in Southern Ontario swear by and drive nothing but Dodge/Jeep.
They haven't had too many problems, and they say the preventive nature of maintenance has kept them reliable.
If you know it is going to be a problem (I.E. check the Jeep forums) fix it before it breaks down on the highway.
Lots of standard features for you to enjoy!
