rear cargo mat
I just picked up my reversable rear cargo mat and am a little disappointed. It really looks like a a mat with just a simple rubber backing. I guess I was thinking it was a mat equally finished on both sides. Anybody else he one of these?

I have one and am happy with it. I keep the rubber side up most of the time as it's easy to brush clean and I like the flap that folds over the rear bumper to protect it. Just wondering what you mean when you say you thought it was "equally finished" on both sides?

i have one and it's ok.. the flap is annoying to use because if your loading anything and have the flap down.. then u cant flap it back up cause that item is now sitting on it.. LOL
i thought it would be more heavy duty as well but it works... just slides around a little when carpet side down.
i think you were thinking about the fitted plastic one with the 2" sides for water and dirt and such?

that is the one i will get for next cayenne most likely..
i enjoy the floor mats for th car but the driver one needs to cover the dead pedal!

I have it as well... It works, but it's certainly nothing special. A bit thin and seems generic, like a cheap aftermarket part. I expected something a little nicer, but I guess it's just a cargo mat.

I have the cargo mat (low sides) -- I was a bit disappointed it that also. Being an avid gardener I'm always putting wet plants in the back of the CS. It fits well enough but the material is a bit cheap.
The trunk mat in our Lexus is nicer than any carpet in any Porsche -- I guess it just the way PAG does things.

For me I think at $140 it would be a little better finished and fill the entire carge area edge to edge. it seems a little generic, but i'm sure it will work OK.
Thanks,

I have the Cayenne 4 Zone Climate plastic/rubber mat in my Touareg that I bought from Sunset. It's a nice piece with the sides coming up about 2 inches. Protects the the area nicely against dogs, garden center errands, etc.

I keep the flap piece attached to the side I'm not using, that way it stays out of the way since there is velcro on both sides. I have a new Luxor Beige for sale that I didn't use since I swapped to a black interior if anyone is interested.
