Unhappy 2004 cayenne climate control delay and radio amplifier problems

I have an 04 cayenne and the radio sometimes does not work. Also turns on and off but the display is always on. Seems that when the car sits in the sun there is better luck with it. This winter it rarely worked.

Also the AC started goofing off and now takes two minutes to come on after starting the car.

Its an 04 cayenne s with the bose system but no navigation. took it to a Porsche mechanic an asked him to check the battery and he pretty much told me that I and everyone on this forums is an idiot (he had women problems that day).

HELP

From one idiot to another.. it's the Bose system? If so - the amp is flakey. Common symptoms. There is a software fix for it that may work, but requires a dealer to update it. Or you could look for a good used amp from a later year Cayenne.

Dunno on the AC.. is it just the cooling that's effected or is all the HVAC out for 2 minutes on starting?

As far as your mechanic - find a new one. A closed mind isn't good when fixing cars.

When its hot I think the compressor has to get some cooler air going first rather than turn into a hair dryer (what ever one of those is)

Both of mine have a delay of about 30 secs after starting the car before the AC kicks in which I thought was done to save the battery.

My AC has a slight delay as well, less than a minute. Also 04 CTT.

OK, had the battery replaced and the AC fan blows immediately. So it seams like the battery did the trick, it was the original, so it had to go anyways.
The radio also worked for 2 wks day in day out, hot or cold, but now the jinx is back and no more radio.
