They already did in MY2010. All new engines and a new interior layout for the RRS, it's waaaaaay nicer than previous years.

Earlier this year we were torn between a used 07/08 RRS and a 06 CS Titanium. Finally went with the CS. Much happier so far.

However, if I were buying new at this point, I think RRS would win against the base Cayenne. If power is not a concern, the Cayenne is probably the better choice after the MY11 redesign. The RRS is due for a full redesign.

I had a 2006 RRS and absolutely loved it....and missed it a lot once I sold it. That being said, when I once again 'needed' a mid size luxury/sport SUV, I looked at the facelifted RRS and the new CV6. There was ABSOLUTELY no comparison!

The interior fit and finish of the Cayenne was far superior to the RRS.
The fuel economy of the RRS is embarassingly bad.
The C is a fresher design.
The interior design of the Cayenne was far more progressive and user friendly.
The RRS felt INCREDIBLY cramped to me after being in the Cayenne.
