Default Side mirror question

Hey guys. I had some parts painted for the side mirrors ( the bottom halves painted aluminum, like with the sports design package) and need to install them. Has anyone done this? There is what looks like a removable plug at the bottom of the mirrors but I dont want to break anything. Help!!!

Its actually very easy. Youll need to remove the door panel to get to the plug for the mirror harness. A few t15 screws and the whole mirror will come apart.

My mirror is lose in the housing. Can you remove just the mirror? Like you can do in a 944.

I can't. I just remember pulling it out and putting another one in. It snaps in + you attach it to the cables, if I remember correctly. Experiment a little, don't be scared
