New Cayenne here at long last
Finally after almost 5 months ( 1 month on the docks) my CS is here. Here is how it spec'd out:
Cayenne S
Sand White
Leather Interior in Umber
20" RS Spyder Design wheels
14 Way Power seats w/memory
PDCC
PTV Plus
PASM
Air Suspension
Trailer Coupling
Sport Wheel with Paddles
Electric Side Shades
Heated seats F/R
Ventilated front seats
Auto dimming interior/exterior mirrors
Rear side airbags
PCM w/NAV
Rear camera Park assist F/R
Lane change assist
BiXenons with PDLS
Dimmable interior lighting
Bose Surround
I've only driven it the 45 miles home from the dealer so I have a lot more critical driving to do. But my first impression is; this is an amazing vehicle. There's a twisty rural road that takes me from Hwy 101 near to where I live. I've driven many vehicles home from dealerships on this stretch. Short of my Porsche sports cars no vehicle has demonstrated better responsiveness and stability. I'd easily put it on an equal status, or better, with my departed S4 Avant. PDCC virtually eliminates lean and steering response and the lack of understeer with PTV is exceptional for any car, much less a 4500 pound SUV. I can't wait to get this thing broken in; going to have to take some trips to speed the process.
Got to read though the manual, figure out a few things, install the clear side markers waiting in my garage, and my V1. And drive! So glad the wait is over. Thanks for the moral support along the way.

Congrats Mike it looks like we both got our CS's today
i'm happy for you. Nice pepper.
Hate the break in process i feel like the car wants to go and show me what she's got but i'm keeping her tamed.
enjoy it in good health

Mike- the long wait is finally over... She's a beauty! Sand white was my second choice, I'm sure it looks great in person with the Umber interior. Congrats!

mike I left home a little over a week ago with 600 miles on mine. Tonight it has 3500 the last 500 towing a trailex enclosed trailer. The '11 S is amazing. I'm getting 13 or so at interstate speeds in the rain. 24+ 70 ish with no trailer and 25.6 at 65 with no trailer. She is quiet and quick on the highway and nimble in town. Oh The oil level gauge still shows max. I have not added any. In the hills of West Va. she was fun to play with. Enjoy your new ride. Got another 900 miles of towing to get home.

Congrats Mike! Mine should be arriving at the dealership any day now! I can't wait. Love the quick handling review. I just hope that mine w/ PASM (non-AS) & PTV only handles as good
Oh, and how are those tires? They're all season, right? Hope i get the scorpions w/ my RS Sypders too!! Haven't seen them ship with anything else, so i should be good!

Thanks to all for the kind comments! This is my first white car ever out of god only knows how many, so I was taking a leap of faith but I'm very pleased with the exterior/interior combo.
To Thense: On the V1 install my plan is to tap into one of the fuse panels at the end of the dash; probably on the passenger's side. I've got to spend some time eyeballing the path I will take but hopefully I'll be able to run a cord between the windshield and headliner, down along the A-pillar and into the panel. The gaps look pretty tight so I'll have to see.
To GBX: Haven't had a chance to push the Pirelli's yet but they seem reasonably grippy and quiet on the road. They made more sense for me than performance summer tires.
To f4plt: Thanks for the report from the road! Glad to hear the mileage is so respectable. I haven't figured out yet how to show consumption in the display without digging into the menu a couple of levels. Seems like there should be some way to have it shown all the time but I haven't figured out yet if it can be done.

Wow, I finally get to see my most favorite build for a 2011 Cayenne. I love every single aspect of your build. Mere mortals like me get a kick by reading your ( being the seasoned Porschephile that you are) positive take on the driving dynamics of the Cayenne. Once again, great job on the build Mike. You deserve nothing but the best and that is exactly what you got. Hearty congratulations from your dear friend here in Washington.
