Default Finally Pics of the CTT

I actually got around to posting some pics. Just picked this up. '04 w/ 23k miles. CPO.

Here is how it came. It came with the flower pedal wheels (not the most attractive).

This last weekend I got a set of sport techno's for it and it looks much better now...

Nice. Those are my favorite wheels. Did you get the staggered wheels (wider in the back), or are they the same all the way around?

No. 9 inch all the way around. But I couldn't beat the price. Nice thing with same size all around is makes for easier rotations.

Then paid $32 for all four to have the TPMS swapped around.

are those the ebay reps? I find most of them too glossy and like a satin or flat finish such as yours.......

What color are yours?

No. They are actual Porsche wheels. They came off a newer Cayenne that the owner upgraded to 22" wheels.

I have had a hard time finding ebay knock-offs. I may try and find a cheap set of 18" (or maybe 17" with spacers) for some A/T tires when I go camping.

Dana that was @JMBond.......but I have a few sets of 17's laying around I have been playing with....

Another one of the Rennlisters here in austin just bought a paint booth and I am going to try and link up and let him paint them up....if you're still interested I wouldnt be to hard for me to part with one of the sets.....Im close to executing on a summer set of 22's locally.....so 3 sets of wheels is pointless and its always best to hook up a fellow R Lister.

As an Fyi, I keep a bi weekly outlook on craigslists and always find leftover 18s and 17s when owners upgrade to larger wheels..........keep an eye out.

I don't think you can put 17" wheels on a turbo - they are too small for the turbo brakes. I'm not sure if the spacers you mentioned would address this, but I don't think so.

Why not keep the original wheels for winter tires or off-road tires?

I have OEM Sport Technos on my Cayenne, and they are also 9" all the way around.

I want to keep the original "flower power" wheels for the winter tires. I would like 17s for some A/T tires. That way, I don't have to mount/dismount tires.

I think I may look at having the "flower power" wheel powder coated black like what Cole did. It makes them less ugly.

I had read somewhere that using spacers moved the wheel out far enought to clear turbo brakes...if not I will have to find a cheap set of 18s for A/T. There is just a lot more choice in 17"

The TurboS or Powerkit Turbos will not take 17's but the regular Turbo or S should. On the road it will feel like crap tho

Why would it feel like crap? Does that mean not feel like a Cayenne and more like a normal modern SUV..or does feel like crap mean an FJ40 with 35 inch tires and a case of death wobbles?
