[QUOTE=Shawn Stanford;8431368]
Found out something fun: unbeknownst to me, I had a CPO until last week! There was a confusion at the dealership because there were two '05 blue Cayennes in their system the week I bought mine. Before he figured it out, the salesman and I went through 95% of the paperwork with the wrong car. The CPO must have been missed in the last-minute scramble to get everything redone. It didn't help that I was in a hurry because my daughter had shown up in the school nurse's office with a low-grade fever.

QUOTE]

Thought CPO was non-transferable unless among private parties. Think even P dealers have to re-pay a certification fee to resell a CPO as a CPO. No?

Dunno 'bout that. All I know is that she said a couple times, "Well, you had a CPO until March 18th." So, she seemed to think they would have honored it...

Unless something has changed w/ CPO it is transferable, no fee that I know of. It stays with the vehicle for the specified time period.

Mine is a CPO vehicle but I know they've modified the CPO coverage a little bit since I bought it.

From Porsche's web site: http://www.porsche.com/usa/pre-owned-vehicles/approved/
Can I transfer the warranty?
Should you wish to sell your Porsche, you will also benefit from the Pre-owned Porsche Warranty. The remaining warranty is transferred to the new owner. And this will undoubtedly increase the value of your vehicle.

I know Porsche enhanced the CPO to cover more of the car -- It was transferable as long as it was a private party transaction and did not go back to a dealer.

That is normal in my experience with CPO warranties.

Shawn - Did you get the car from a Porsche dealer?

I got the car through part of the Don Rosen organization, but not specifically the Porsche dealership.

Spark plugs - use Bosch and not the Beru, don't know the p/n of the Bosch but shouldn't be too difficult to find. Many have good luck with NGK but I've never used them on a Porsche.
Coil Packs - last I saw they were up to -09 for an '06 "S", don't know about the turbos.
Don't know about reimbursement for DIY, but I doubt it.

Do not use Bosch plugs on a 955 Turbo. Bosch doesn't make the correct single-ground style plug, and the 4-ground plugs are not intended for boosted applications.

I'm using only NGK in all my cars, bikes etc.
PFR7Q is what I used before, now I use BKR9EIX as I had to go cooler due to more boost and fuel.

Correct. NGK also makes a good alternative, BKR 6 EGP.

Question the applies to all this: I have a new to me '05 CTT and don't have much of the maintenance history. I know coils can be an issues so I pulled one out today. I didn't see a porsche model number on it anywhere. It was in very good physical condition. I'm trying to guesstimate the age of the coil. The only numbers on it are: Beru 0 040 102 012 then ZSE 012. It also has another beru marking and: 2 303 590 361. Anyone have any ideas? I was planning on doing the plugs soon and trying to guess if I should preemptively do the coils too.

Default My recently purchased 09 GTS

Has 71k miles on it. I don't see any maintenance history in the CarFax records. I have a check engine light that is intermittent but mostly on. Going to check with Durametric soon. Would my plug coils be covered?
