Porsche dealer: $1200 for the printed set of manuals
Ebay: $20 for an electronic version on CD

Actually, Sunset had them advertised in Excellence Mag for $795 a couple of issues ago.

I've ordered the workshop manual on eBay but haven't received it yet to tell you what I think of them. I have used the PIWIS from Porsche.com\usa. There is a post on how to set up an account and access the factory manuals online in the coolant pipe replacement thread.

I think you have PIWIS confused with something else. PIWIS (if I'm not mistaken) is a diagnostic tool, the updated version of the PST (Porsche System Tester). Kind of like a specialized laptop (or PC application). It actually plugs into the auto to run diags.

Take a look at this link. It is the PIWIS home. PIWIS stands for Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System.

https://techinfo2.porsche.com/PAGInf...?Type=GVOStart

You can sign up for an account and purchase workshop manuals right from Porsche. I used this to buy the 4 WS instructions I needed to replace my plastic pipes. They are pretty good and if the eBay disc I get is questionable, I will continue to use PIWIS.

I've looked at the link

PIWIS stands for Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System. TSI is the component in PIWIS that offers authorised companies in the sense of Art. 4 Para. 2 of the Commission Regulation No. 1400/2002 on this website access to technical information. TSI is an acronym of Technical Service Information and includes Workshop Manuals, among other things, for Porsche vehicles.
PIWIS is an actual device (or better stated an application that runs on a electronic device) that communicates with the vehicle, it is not just a set of manuals. It's predecessor was the PSTII (or Porsche System Testor), a device that looks like a laptop that doesn't have a flip up monitor.

Hi,

I'm new here and also searching for a workshop manual for my new Cayenne. I've tried the hint from joes95rx7, but Porsche wants to know the name of a company for registration and I have no company. Is there another chance to get a service repair manual?

I hope you can help me with that.
