Kudos for braving the rain and snapping some good pics of the beauty just for us. We really appreciate it. What a stunner. Enjoy it good health Rome. My wife really wanted the heated windscreen and I ordered it reluctantly... You are not the first one with the negative comment on the heated windscreen. I would be curious to see if Porsche is aware of this problem.

Romey, congratulations!!! Car looks great (notice how I refrained from using P!G )! I also read regarding the problems with the heated windshield, since we briefly considered it. Are you going to swap it out for a standard one or you think it's a matter if getting used to?

Beautiful and sunny today. Put that Nikon to work and congrats again

Great looking car, my only issue is the Porsche script on the back. I wish they would just use Cayenne.

Great call on getting the Pano Roof.

This is horrible, and I hereby volunteer to remove this embarrassment from your life. Especially that interior. and the wheels. and the pano roof.

Seriously, can you take a photo of the problem with the heated windscreen?

Congratulations
Enjoy it in the best of health.

BTW, you can buy bulbs for the side markers that are silver/clear when off but light up orange.
I put these in my wife's 993 targa...looks nice not having sn orange "dot".
They are legal and easy to find.

Itc- did you buy them online or locally? If online, would you mind posting where? Thanks.

hey Rome - for those of us going crazy waiting for our custom order, can you tell us about timing? how long from order until delivery? did Porsche stick to the schedule you got when it was ordered, was it late or early?

Both.
Can't remember exactly where I found mine.
I might have posted it in the 993 forum.

Update:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product

It was in my Amazon order history....

I'm going to see how useful the heated windscreen is this winter. If it's not really helpful I probably will swap out. I've now learned that the heating element is pretty noticeable during the day, against the sky. Perhaps I'll get used to it, but right now I'm thinking I should have gotten the vented seats instead...

Dealer mounted it... They gave me choice to leave off, but our state is cracking down. I leave the plate off my 911, but I since I drive this everyday (through a heavily polied tunnel into the city) I prefer to avoid the hassle from the men in blue.
