Any given part on your car can have more than one maker - each making the same part -- They are each the OEM for the part. When you get an OE part you are buying a Porsche part with a Porsche part number from one of the OEM makers. On many parts you can purchase them with an OEM part number that came directly from that manufacturer -- that is called an OEM part. (often less expensive)
Without getting into the minutia - They are the same part. This is especially true with the Cayenne because of all the VW parts.
What part are we talking about?

Not knowing what other applications that booster is used for I really do not think that a third party would make them. What is the difference in cost.
What happens is...... after the exclusive right to make the part ends anyone can decide to copy the part - If they think they can make money selling them ..... they do. They are called after-market.
That is why you can see an OE part at $$$$ and an OEM part at $$$ and then some Chinese part selling at $. Sometimes -- especially A/C stuff ....they can be the same.
But, you can have blurring of the lines. I have a Jaguar and the OE brake pads available from the dealer are a specific pad material. If you order the pads from the same OEM that made the pads you will get a different material -- they only make the pad for that Jaguar on a special run.
Sometimes you can have a large OEM that for what ever reason did not get the contract to make a particular part -- but still makes it as an after-market.

Given the parts you are looking for are very specific and important safety related parts, I think it's best to order it from a Porsche dealership and not just some website. Try Sunset Imports in Oregon, I think they have the best price and customer service:
http://www.sunsetimports.com/contact...-parts-online/
Also, be careful with websites (especially on ebay), the term OEM is often abused such as OEM "quality" or OEM "equivalent".
