Default European License Plates in the States?

Any recommendations and where to buy one? I love the way it looks on the front.

Are these legal for use in certain states where a front plate is not required by law?

In Quebec, we're allowed to install one in front as long as it has no letters or numbers but rather an actual word or phrase which would classify it as a novelty item.

Some people install their actual license plate ontop of a european plate which partially blocks the letters/numerals. According to our provinces 'finest', this is borderline breaking the law.

Lewis, I could never quite grasp the meaning behind this word. Images of cross-breeding a pig with a dog just boggles my mind.
