It sounds very similar to upgrading a 993 halogen assembly by installing a Xenon lamp an ballast in the housing, but applied to a Cayenne.

So the cornering lamps do not work in conjunction with steering input, it is probable that bulb diagnostics won't work and as you mentioned there is no self leveling (which might be a problem in some states with regards to vehicle inspections).

Thanks, just trying to understand what you did for your modifications.

Well, halogen assembly is simply an open housing design. This is a projector upgrade. Secondly, on factory equipped cars with bi-xenons the cornering lamps work with steering angle( probably when steering wheels is turned about 50% of the radius). I retrofitted that light with high beams, ,meaning whenever you flash or turn them on, they will turn on aswell. They are very useful. From center of vehicle, the light beam reach approximately about 25ft to the side i would say great mountain residency upgrade. I dont see how some people complain that they barely give any light to the side ?

I would just like factory xenon appearance.........no corner necessary etc, for reasons you noted.......

Just like Cousin Eddie sez, "I dont know why they call it Hambuger Helper, its perfectly fine on its own....."...
