Love the new interior, but still not warmed up to the exterior yet. What's with the black plastic wheel arch and rocker strip that runs the entire length of the bottom?! That sure looks way out of place.

I do like the wheels, I wonder if they will fit on first generation Cayenne's

Open minded people will give it a shot!

Taste is individual, but in the flesh it is pretty nice and there is no comparison to many other SUVs when you see them side by side on the road.

Time will tell, but I think this one will be an even bigger success. My wife drove the temporary S today and she said the "S" was enough for her....she didn't need the Turbo (I was afraid of that)!

For some, there might be a resurrection in the works, or at least regrets if the the truth were to be told. In other words "never say never". But there is nothing new in that cliche!
Assuming you have/had the previous generation Cayenne, can you give some comments in regards to interior space? Front, back & cargo space? I have only seen the prototypes on the street many months ago and it looks quite a bit smaller. And the interior pics I have seen so far seem to agree.

Anyone have pics of the two, old & new body side by side?

Thanks in advance!

I have very similar looking wheels on mine (2005 CS):

Front about the same for room.

Rear seats (adjustable) give limo like room... a hugh improvement.

Rear cargo space sees to be about the same, but since the car is slightly longer it might be bigger...just not noticeable to the naked eye or memory

The new car is much more feminine looking -- especially from the rear. And while I like round headlights these have an unfinished look to them.

Almost anything that they did to the dash would be an improvement -- I have never liked the control layout of the Cayenne. Overall the new interior is nice looking - only looked at dark cars.

One would hope ........ expect that it would perform to a higher level.

Thanks. Not what I expected to hear because I really thought it was much smaller so I had ruled it out as my next car but now I will have to go check one out... The rear seats is especially a bonus because that was one area I wished it was a tad bigger....

the car is amazing on any level:interior,engine,8 speed gear, handling and suspension-road holding like i have never met before in a suv and the total package is of very high quality and rock solid feel

pretty good off road too on the height adjusted suspension, unlike other performance suv's...

p.s - the Burmester isn't bad either...

Personally, this new model looks awful. I'd choose my 06 turbo over it any day... The rear tail lights, rear spoiler (wtf?) are uggggly. The car looks a lot less "mean" overall

P.S. who needs that extra plastic on the exterior? and under the hood?
