NEED MECHANIC ASAP (Fenton)

Hi. I recently purchased a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S from a private seller. This morning it started leaking fluids- I think coolant. I run an oil change shop in Fenton and that is where the car is at now. I have lots of tools and equipment to work on it, but have no clue where to start on a porsche. Please let me know ASAP if you can come check out my car and let me know what the problem with it is and if you can fix it.

Thanks,
Garrett

I'm not sure Garrett needs a mechanic or a priest (to administer last rights) at this point...hope there aren't any tall cliffs nearby.

I'm sure the previous owner started smelling coolant occasionally and thought it was a good time to sell. Smart.

LTC, I guess I'm confused... How come every time someone on here mentions an issue with 04 Cayenne's you talk about "last rights" and tall cliffs? I too am having issues at 60k that I believe are coolant pipe related, but what's with the constant grim outlook and these models? the plastic pipes WERE dumb, we know that... but other than a few "common" issues (for the year) these vehicles seem pretty solid. Am I delusional? mine goes in the shop on Monday for the work. I hope it goes well and I have my car back soon

How long have you had your beta model? Your post sounds kinda newbie-ish.

actually not long at all (unfortunately) so "newbie-ish" certainly fits... but I still have to fix it. I just hope it won't be constant trouble for me. my extended warranty is pretty good but of course, it won't cover hoses so this one's on me regardless

My 2004 has been great. It has had a few of the common issues, but once you get them fixed, it is a very solid vehicle.

I'm just glad to hear it's not doom and gloom for everyone.... Mine was running pretty darn good until the coolant pipe problem. I guess I'll just fix it and hope anything else that happens will be covered under the warranty.
