Pepper or P!g
#3
I hate the moniker "pig" with a passion. I've owned a Cayenne S and still own a Cayenne turbo S and neither one was or is a "pig". I called them both "Cayenne".
No person has ever called a Cayenne a "pig" in my earshot. I only read (hear) this unveiled insult on the internet.

I actually like P!g. I don't generally call it that when speaking out loud, but I still think it's funny.

Cayene is a Pepper! :S
Porsche refers to the Cayenne line as Peppers (reason for the name Cayenne!). Only the uninformed or Larry will refer to it as a Pig.

Read this forum and you'll see that many people who are "informed" call it a P!g. Reading the manual won't change this.
You need to stop taking this so seriously. If you can't see that it's all in jest and for fun, then maybe you should try a little less caffeine! Besides, is it all bad being a pig? Many pigs are shown with pride at the state fair every year! And pigs give us bacon - nobody will argue that is a bad thing! You just need to acknowledge that not every animal in the barn can be a thoroughbred! Pigs have a place too!

Interesting article in the latest edition of Panorama on the 924 as the true "red headed stepchild" of the Porsche family tree. No mention of the Cayenne at all!

I suggest an audit of the IP addresses that voted once this thread is concluded. By the current results, I can only assume there were a few select individuals that voted multiple times. It's pretty clear, that "P!g" is not only the most appropriate nickname for the Cayenne, but also the most common.
