Default Is there a way to 'reboot' the Nav/PCM 3.0?

I have an '09 Cayenne and today I noticed that the compass thinks I'm facing North when I'm really facing South.

I've tried changing navigation directions, turning off the engine for a while, and changing map settings, but the Nav system and compass in the dashboard always thinks I'm facing 180 degrees opposite from the correct direction.

The actual GPS location is correct as I drive, but the map just shows me going backwards on the map.

Is there a way to reboot the PCM?

I was thinking about disconnecting the battery. If I do that, will I get prompted for a security code?

The local dealer service wants me to bring it in - which I can do but I can't until after Thanksgiving next week and I was hoping I could just 'reboot' it if possible...

Thanks!

Sounds to me like you need to check the manual. The nav can show heading or a map normalised to North you need to see how to change that on 3.0. On 2 it a set press.

Yes I saw that there is a map option to always show North at the top of the map but this isn't that.

For me, the map is rotating but the tip of the arrow is facing the wrong way - it's always facing 180 degrees opposite of the true direction on the map. For example if the Cayenne is facing East, the map is positioned so the arrow tip is pointing West on the map.

For what it's worth, I did try turning on/off that map option but it didn't fix the issue.

The compass heading shown in the instrument cluster is also wrong so it's not the map setting.

Does anybody know where the GPS antenna is located in the Cayenne?

I suspect your PCM was intended for the Australian market......

Yes, you can 'reboot' the PCM. You can disconnect the battery or remove the appropriate fuses.

Antennae were located under the rear spoiler.

The PCM 2.0 could be reset/rebooted by holding down the 1-4-8 numeric buttons simultaneously.
I don't know if this same procedure works on the PCM 3.0.

Problem solved. I installed the NAV-TV PCM3BT into my Cayenne for a backup camera. Hitting mute twice on the steering wheel brings up the rear camera video (when not in reverse). My guess is that that this has the side effect of making the PCM think that the cayenne is in reverse (which probably also flips the heading direction). Hitting double mute again flips it back.

Sorry guys.
