Cayenne engine tremor
Hello all, just bought an 08 Cayenne w/ 3K miles on it. When I first start it the engine seems to quiver while idle. It seems to get better as the engine warms, but I don't know that it completely disappears. Is this normal for the vehicle or should I have a tech look at it?

My '04 CS shuddered as well, before I got new coils and plugs. Generally stopped whenever I mentioned how nice Russia is in the winter, or BMW X5s as well.
Mine still has some vibration at idle. I was told that this is normal with these engines.
FWIW, my CLK430 shook at idle something fierce. Got new engine mounts for it and it still wouldn't stop.

Normal? well lets say it happens to all of them. Its the coils, once they warm up and get all the moisture out of their little cracked bodies and fire properly the vibration disappears.

Mine does the exact same thing. Porsche claimed there were NO misfire codes. But for about 3 to 4 minutes after first start up it sputters about every 4 seconds or so for about 2 seconds, like its missing and the RPM's drop about 100 rpms.

Too funny, I have the same thing and was about to take it in to the dealer. Since I have put on a Magnaflow exhaust system you can almost hear that it seems to miss at low rpm's. I did recently put in new plugs and coils (version -05) about 7k miles ago. Once past 2k rpm it seems to pull fine. Do these motors really not like being in low rpm's? By the way, mine is a 2004 turbo if that matters.

Never had this issue but if it sets for long periods of time a month or so it stumbles at first then clears up, But I haven't seen anything that doesn't do this from setting up.

No, the plugs and coils were replaced on the first service once I bought it (I am not the original owner). Since then I have done the exhaust, intake, and ECU flash. Never really thought much about it but with the exhaust you can now hear it sound like a stumble/miss when you rev it from idle, it is much more prominent when you do a slow increase in RPM versus flooring it. At higher revs it sounds fine.
