Park Assist Problemo
New issue. CS just got outta the body shop today. Looks great and am very happy. One thing though: the park assist (both front and rear) is not functioning. Normally, the inner-most green light are always on. They are not. Rather, the outer red lights come on intermittently.
I've read the manual and tried turning the overhead button on & off several times....no luck.
I'll take it back in next week, if necessary, but am afraid they'll be stumped too.
Thoughts??

they require a special paint process, They all read individualy if you have a scan tool, pretty hard to diagnose one bad one without a scanner. YOu could get one good one and try pluging it in in each spot and seeing if it works right but that seems like a hell of a waste of time. try cleaning them with rubbing alchol

I'll give that a whirl, but still seems goofy that BOTH the front and rears aren't functioning, when only the front of the vehicle was worked on.???

Just noticed that my fogs also are not working. Getting the "CHECK FOG LAMPS" warning/fault. Could it be possible that these 2 problems are related? ...one step forward, two steps back...

Maybe they forgot to plug in the harnesses when they put the front back on. I did the first time I did it, but I noticed and took it straight off and did it right.

I have an appointment for Monday to have them look into this. Wiring harness seems to be the (probable) culprit, as I'm now getting faults for: signal indicator, cornering lamp, fogs and high beams (+ the non-functioning park assist). Oddly enough though, some lamps function. Some don't. Park assist has power and the outermost (red) lights come on, but the sensor function doesn't work.
I'm a little nervous, as the body shop (although a great auto-body/paint shop) is obviously not too experienced with Cayennes.

Yep. The wiring harness was connected but loose. In addition, both headlight buckets were not "locked in". All is good again in Cayenne-land.......for the moment.
