I was also looking at the Touareg but wifey doesn't like the look of it so its off our list. I was offered a brand new '08 V8 yesterday for 10K off list as an opening offer (39k v 49k). So there is lots of room for bargains i'm guessing.

I had a 2005 V8 Touareg and loved it. Never a problem. I would consider a Cayenne or Touareg when I need replace my 2001 Jetta.
