I did call atlanta. They simply said that they cannot intervene however they are going to send a letter to Byers stating that I complained. They state that the cannot intervene because the dealers are owned by people other than PCNA. Does anybody know specifically who might be able to help me at PCNA?

(Note- I am waiting on a call from the GM at Byers. He may be able to take care of it. If not, then I need to contact PCNA again)

Tornik, Hope you get your money back. Would there maybe be a moral to the story here that would put a smile on larry's face?

Very sorry to keep this going however I still need help.

I was driving the CTT today and found that the cruise control doesn't work. The light on the instrument panel does not turn on.

When I was trying to fix the original problem, I pulled the fuses. I looked and everything looks ok. Is there a particular fuse that is linked with the cruise control or is this most likely a programming issue with my new ecu?

My bet would be the cruise control is unrelated to the ECU (it has it's own I think) and is more likely a fuse.

The cruise control failure is probably related to the new DME (ecu) install. I am a Porsche Tech here in the Denver area. Several tech's have done this at our shop and we have fixed other cars with this issue as well. If this is the case, it is simply a coding issue solved with the PIWIS tester. To my knowledge the 05 9PA (cayenne) does not have a brake light switch, it turns the brake lights on via a CAN input from the PSM control module (brake pressure). This is also why when programing keys one must activate the hazards on a 2005 and newer and depress the brake pedal on pre 2005, (keeps the CAN bus active) My bet is they either forgot to code it to have cruise control (DME control unit), or you may have a completly seperate issue all together. Does the car start without pressing the brake pedal?

I am not a Porsche tech (but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express this month).
I am going to guess PIWIS coding.....it's the safe bet, you have to code everything in the Cayenne via PIWIS to help it remember who it is.

When I turn the key, it just says "press brake pedal" even though I am pressing it. Everything else seems to work just fine however the engine does nothing.
I just wanted to add something in case somebody doing a search on this error finds this. Today my cayenne would not start. Battery seemed fine... all systems appeared to be working but the car would not start. Was getting "Press Brake Pedal" error, even though I was (and brake lights lit to prove it), then got a "Brake Proportioning" warning. Called my tech and he told me the battery may be low, even though everything lights up and seems to work well (like electric seats). I did notice that sometimes I got an Airbag Fault error, and also my car would not beep when I locked it. After I charged the battery for a long time the car came around. It took awhile for all systems to come back to life. At some point the car would beep again when locking.. then the airbag warning went away, and then later the car worked again. I just hope this helps if somebody gets these errors.
