why chince out on tires with our weather?

you should read up on the reduced breaking distances with snow tires.

I have 08 Ctt, came with 21" P 0 Rosso's. Put 19" Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snows on last November and drove them hard all winter and all summer. I may just sell the 21's. The 19's are not noisy, have the R rating and have handled well through all conditions.

I run Conti all seasons (18's) in Boston.

No problems at all, even in the worst conditions.

go look at emergency stopping distances between all season and snows. after seeing that i don't know how people can stay with all seasons.

Never had a problem with my Conti all seasons.

Thing is like a mountain goat in the snow.

I have 18" CT wheels with Pirelli Scorpions on now and they are amazing. Statman, I just drove yesterday for about 8 hours (usually a 5 1/2 hr. trip) from Rockford, IL to Hayward, WI (lots of mixed precip.: freezing rain and snow through Madison, then all snow on the rest of the trip = not fun).

Saw alot of cars and SUV's in ditches (a couple were rolled over). My CS handled wonderfully and this is why I bought it (I travel alot). You'd be a fool not to get dedicated winter wheels/tires IMHO.

BTW, 18" winter tires are the largest tire I would use on snow & ice (17" would be even better).

Just drove home from a hockey tourney in Lake Placid, and encountered a nice squall on the Mass Pike in the Lee area on Sunday evening. My Michelin Latitude Tour HP all seasons on 19s were great on the freshly accumulated snow/slush. Travelled at a good clip the whole way and they handled pretty well in the slop.
