V6 10K Mile Service - Ouch $$
I just paid $336 at the dealership for an oil change! I was there for about 1.5 hours. Is this the going rate at Porsche dealerships? I didn't even get kissed.

I think you'll find that the rates vary a little from dealership to dealership, but you're in the ballpark.
Is 10K the normal service interval for the V6? I know for the V8 it is 20K.

That's not fun if it costs you that much every 10K.
I think my 40K service was in that general range, but I'd have to look at my records to make sure.

IIRC, Larry posted the V6 service intervals and checklists....so you should be able to make sure your dealer is going 'per the list' and decide what items are DIY.

Yep you were raped! I was raped too but learned my lesson after the second time. Almost 100K on the 2004CS and I keep it as far away from the dealer as possible.

I am still learning to deal with the dealer. The first 12k oil change was quoted at $ 400 and when I protested the bill was for $250. The 24 K service they knocked $100 off but it was still outrageous.
They don't get that fair profit is 20 or 25%. I will be looking for at trusted mechanic after 50K miles.
