The major nav makers; Garmin, Magellan have offered free nav updates for as long as you own the unit for years. All map updates come from the same few digital map developers like Navteq, who simply add brand-specific screen and menu cosmetics. Charging $325-$400 for a DVD or set of CDs with a Porsche wrapper is simply a rip-off of a captive market. Its 2013...we should be able to download the files and make our own disks.

I rc'd my 2013 disks today in a nice little leather case. I am waiting until the weather gets a little cooler before bringing my CTT out (It's sitting on winters) and then I will perform the update and report back!

So why can't we burn our own disks?

Anyone have the latest version of PCM 2.0 discs? I'm looking for Texas in particular. Wanna make a deal?
