73k on my '03 CTT. Slowing down on the miles since we have another SUV that holds more people. This is a question that I have long wanted to know the answer regarding potential durability. Looks like I will be holding onto the CTT for another 5+ years.

It wasn't that long ago that you crossed over 50K and told us all how it wasn't as scary as we thought be be naked. Still happy?
I'm only at 42,000 on my 2004 CS, but my factory warranty expires in October when I hit the 4 year mark. I am one of the suckers who bought an extended warranty... we'll see how that works out.

I never bought the warranty to extend have been running WAY naked now for almost 100k and the repairs have not been all that bad - we did have to do the coolant tubes out of warranty but even that was not a bad repair bill - it was well under 3k if i remember correctly - I really think the key is to drive them frequently and they reward in aces....T2

The coolant tubes run thru the engine, expensive to replace. Looks like another material (bad choice) issue. Mainly hits cars in hotter climates. Becoming quite common, there is a debate on whether the engine should be pulled or not to replace
You should be OK up there in snow country.

I would like to take this opportunity to state that the choice of materials used in the aforementioned coolant tubes was NOT a "bad choice" in material selection; rather the material chosen was the most "cost effective" option.

Leak R&R tranny cooler/lines/thermo
ATF cooler
Thermostat
Rubber seal x4
O ring x4
Oil pipe
Oil pipe ATF cooler
O ring x2
Bulb
+ Labor
= 1848.26
After that, the car was shifting harder & shakier than ever, so my beloved MD dealer replaced the trans filter & fluids:
Oil sump gasket
Trans oil filter
Seal ring
Sealing ring
Alum sealing ring
Trans oil 1lt x6
Trans oil 1lt x5
= $875
All is well since then. Oh, Manhattan Motor Cars quoted $2100 for 60k service. Ended up doing it in Maryland for $1100.

As for the 60K service, $875 at Pioneer in San Diego. I paid less than that as my coils went bad (they were able to combine service charge for fixing those) and my oil changes are always free as I bought it there.

Haven't been smelling anything, and don't think the car ever overheated. Noticed the puddles in the garage and took it in the following day. I'm probably the wrong person to ask regarding the future problem. Now that I think of it, where's 99firehawk nowadays?
