The January edition of Car magazine here in the UK has a small article on the next Touareg and states that both the VW and Porsche will arrive in 2010. The new Touareg has been put on a strict diet and the Sport and Style versions are reported to have shed 12% of their current weight which equates to 300kgs by ditching the air suspension, rear limited slip diff and low range transfer case. The pics they have of the new Touareg look really good IMHO and are a significant improvement over the current model (sorry I don't have a scanner).

Found that link while searching for "2010 Cayenne" in Google. Photos look real to me; if they're computer renderings, they're darn good renderings for sure.

I found this press release on the Porsche web-site this morning. Confirms the PCM upgrade; also quantifies the price increase for 09's.
New prices for the Porsche Cayenne All-terrain sport vehicle upgradeStuttgart.
For the first time since the launch of the second generation Cayenne, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, will be increasing prices. The price changes, effective 1st June 2008, will be between 1.4% and 2.8%, depending on the model.
IOverall, all second-generation Cayenne models are very much in demand from customers. The main reasons that customers value the Cayenne are the new engines featuring direct fuel injection and fuel consumption reduced by up to 15% and the option of being driven by the environmentally friendly bioethanol fuel E10.The price increases will be accompanied by a range of product upgrades - for example, a completely new development, the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) Multimedia System with touch-screen operation and hard disc navigation. In other models this is available as an optional extra, but in the Cayenne Turbo it comes as standard.
The new prices (incl. 19% VAT and country-specific requirements):
Cayenne (Manual gearbox) 52,449 Euro
Cayenne S (Manual gearbox) 67,681 Euro
Cayenne GTS (Manual gearbox) 78,034 Euro
Cayenne Turbo (Tiptronic S) 111,711 Euro

Cascade, Thanks for the info. Good news for me. I have a 09 CTT ordered, They wrote the purchase contract up at 08 price, saying they would forgo any price increase. Good for me ! Unless they wiggle out of it ? I'm still waiting on a build date. I had heard about the touch screen, interested to see if any other options change.

Good Luck Brad B. I don't think your dealer can wiggle out of it. I have a regular Cayenne coming in May (April build date) - probably be the last 08 made on the planet -- maybe it will turn into a collectors item...

Cascade, thanks, I certainly don't know the right answer. Did you feel like you got a decent buy on yours? I had a 8% discount negotiated on a 08 build and then missed the lock in time, so jumped to a 09 at 5% . Which also gave me more time to save the dollars to pay for it.
