Steering Wheel Radio Station Controls??
OK, I did my search diligence and couldn't find the answer - so apologize if this has been covered elsewhere or if I'm just missing something obvious.
On my 08 Cayenne, the radio station channel selection from the steering wheel only seems to allow a "seek" up/down - not a selection of my defined memory presets.
Is there a way to toggle this behavior so it allows me to move between the stations I set?
Thanks in advance,
Marty

Ohhhh Marty, if there is a solution to this I would be the happiest dude around. But I don't think there is. I think it only seeks through stations. That's all I could ever get it to do.

we need an extra button!!!!!!!
the FX does it the other way, the ONLY way to seek through the stations not in memory is to reach all the way over the console and hit the "seek" button.
there is no good answer for this, i miss the seek function on the wheel (i also miss the heated steering wheel which has to be the HEIGHT of decadence). one more button, or even a timed circuit (hold it short for next memory, long for seek to next channel) would be great....

According to my dealer, there's no way to modify it. It's one of my wife's bigger gripes about the car. And if that's one of the biggest gripes she's got about it, I consider myself lucky.

Porsche doesn't seem to pay much attention to the audio set-ups in its cars, which is fine with me because that's the last thing I was considering when I was buying.
Take for example the "random play" feature on the CD player in my 997. While it does play the tracks in non-numerical order, it plays them in exactly the same non-numerical order every time...not really the definition of random.
I haven't even tried the "random" on the Cayenne's CD unit yet. Does it do the same thing?
I have a feeling this anomaly isn't just a 997 thing.

I have to agree it is one of the things that I haven't been able to figure out, How to make it stop seeking it keeps flying through all the stations and won't stop!!! Won't go through the presets it just zooms through all the stations. I just stopped using the buttons on the steering wheel to change stations and use the preset buttons...

DROPTOP said something nice about the Cayenne's features/functions... something that his current car doesn't have --- WOW! HEATED STEERING WHEEL --- I agree that it was very nice during the monstrous southern blizzard of last week!?

Pretty much do whatever he felt like making those little buttons do........
(I'll skip the part where he could display funny messages on the MFD display to see if anyone noticed during executive test drives)
Then again, I'm pretty sure "ltc" would have provided "Larry" (who may have owned a Cayenne shortly before his death) an iPod and Bluetooth interface working long before anyone else on the planet did; not surprising really, socially disfunctional, spends a lot of time alone in his basement lab, quite the odd duck
