If you are afraid of the dark, sleep with a roll of racer's tape and a MagLite next to your bed and panic at the sight of a "!".......then he's back

sorry Lewis, the 914 will never be for sale - you'd have to kill my boys first...

I know this is off topic - but drove the 997 (Club Coupe) in today and found I took the "long" way into the office.

My commute normaly takes me about fifteen minutes. This morning it took 2 hours...

The S4 is a very nice replacement for the Cayenne (as is the F-350 Diesel on order for when a truck is needed)...

Still want a Q7 Diesel but might just have to wait a while on that one...

I think you'll like the F-350. I got a '08 F250 PSD this spring- tows great and has GREAT mirrors, and no !! Mileage isn't quite what I expected but is getting better. The crew cab is HUGE inside and very comfortable...

And the built in brake controller is really NICE! I would assume any F-350 would come with the electric folding mirrors and brake controller...

Default Towing

I drove the new F350. Just could not get over the sheer mass and size of the thing. But I live in a condo with a garage that only has about 6'-9" clear and columns at 30' spacings. The turning radius would force me to take three passes at the parking spots that we have in the garage. If I lived in suburban or rural America I could enjoy driving a vehicle of this size, in urban America no way.
I realize that Porsche has probably learned from some issues earlier in model life, but I am very impressed with the electrical hook up, the hitch, the rear view camera (first time ever I can put a car under a trailer hitch on the first try ). The Cayenne pulls hard and stops quick. Very capable for it's size. No problem with lights as I have primarily incandecent fixtures. I did only get 10 mpg pulling #4000 boat/trailer over mountainous country at 70 mph .
Still early in the honeymoon with the pig but really enjoying the pen.
But then again I am a boat owner and we are used to spending in thousand $ increments Especially for the ones that stay in the water.

Impressed with the electrical hook up? An international standard 7pin Pollack connector?
Yes, the 1D6/1D8 tow control module is on par wtih the discovery of the atom, the polio vaccine, etc.
