I was told about this recall (few weeks old per my service manager) last week as I was scheduling an appointment to take care of the "Check air bag" light that has been on for, how appropriately, few weeks.

I believe it's a workshop campaign. It's campaign W275. They replace the airbag connector under the driver's seat.
Didn't get much explanation beyond what I wrote above. I was luck in that the truck was in the shop for a CEL (gas tank vent tube) and they knocked this out as well.

A lot of people call a service action a "recall" incorrectly; even people who work at the dealership. Service actions are voluntary measures taken by Porsche. A recall is federally mandated. It is service action W725. And yes the service action calls for the same repair as is listed in the technical information that loren mentioned, they are one and the same.
This is a case of Porsche volunteering to repair this known issue for almost 25,000 Cayennes at no cost to the customer, instead of just crossing thier fingers that it wouldnt pop up until the vehicle is out of warranty. So for that I say kudos to Porsche.

Got mine in the mail a few days ago. It is a workshop campaign. Claims it will take 5 hours to complete and that they will replace the air bags not just the ground strap.
