None with mine as well (I think). 06 Pepper S (manufactured in July 05) with 10k miles. But I'll bring the TSB to the dealership on my next visit regardless. We'll see what they'll say.

I kinda feel an early symptom of it though. Every morning, it's always a little rough when accelerating from the 1st gear. But it doesn't happen if I accelerate from a complete stop. It only happens when I accelerate in the 1st gear when the car rolls slowly (for example everytime I roll off a stop sign).

No coils yet at 33k, but I am paranoid based on this forum so I have been imaginig all sorts of misfires, etc., and asking the dealer about it.

So at the last oil change, at about 28k, they DID say that they had seen some misfires on one cyl and would monitor it (I guess assuming that I would make them read codes again later)

Within a month I wil ask them to sniff around again.

I just purchased the Pepper S in early March with just under 33K mi. From the "Summary History Report" there was 1 "engine concern" at 27K mi. with code 11POZ01 but nothing else that looks like it could be related to coils. However I just rolled over 36K and now on damp mornings I notice a rough idle for a few minutes, no warning lights or anything yet. Most likely I'll be taking it in for a few other issues in a week or so and will add that to the list I'm keeping.

Pepper is an '06 w/ a 7/05 production date, it's a CPO vehicle so you won't see me nekid for a very long time (thank god).

I bought the AutoEnginuity before I knew about the other OBDII reader s/w, I wonder if it will read coil mis-fires??

Well, mine lasted for 38,300 mi. w/out needing coils. Took it in for other minor issues, mentioned that it was running rough on morning starts, seemed like it was missing. When they called they told me there were several mis-fire codes so they replaced the coils, I asked how many were cracked they said they only found one cracked but all 8 coils were replaced.

Prod. date of 7/05.

I haven't had mine replaced yet on my 2004 CS at 39,850 miles. Everything seems to be running fine.

Bill, I have an 06 CS with a production date of 07/05 too. Couple weeks ago, I took it to the dealership for a 2-year service. I asked them to check for any misfires, and the result came back negative. However, mine's only a little over 10k miles.

I wonder if higher miles makes the coils prone to cracking. But then again, Frank's 04 CS is going strong at 105k miles. Or perhaps there's a possibility of connection between driving "style" and this coil issue? I never rev up the engine while it's stationary in a parking lot. And I rarely drive above 4k rpm.

For those who don't have the coils problem, do you folks drive your Pepper aggressively often, or pretty mild like I do?

I figure, why buy a Porsche if you aren't going to rev it up every now and then, even it is an SUV? I had the pleasure of passing an 18-wheeler and another car on a two-lane road this morning driving in, and I ran it all the way to the red line. I wouldn't say I drive overly aggressively, but I don't baby it either.

Sort of off topic, but I have a full set of updated coils for available. I bought them to fix my misfire only to learn that the coils were already updated and wiring (rodent) damage was causing my misfire. They're new in the box, $100 for all eight, shipping included in the US. PM me if you're interested.

Coils Sold!!!

I'm with Dennis, I don't rev any car sitting still but I do run them fairly hard on the open road. I've only been up to 105 in the Pepper, passing idiots that like to park their butts in the passing lane and the like but haven't trained myself to watch the tach yet on it (it is a auto). I have been very impressed with how well it moves for the size vehicle it is, I can only imagine what the Turbo S is like.

Dealer said they were fin on a 04 CTT with 35k miles. Kudos to the dealer for fixing all the last little annoyances before the warranty ran out. Naked now, expecting less than 5k miles a year. Not worth throwing $65k plus tax for a car that is basically the same. Put it towards a nice family carrier, the 612
