To me it doesnt make much sense -there already is a 911 in the garage so it doesnt seem practicle.
It made sense to have a 911 and an SUV for different uses but now youre right back where you started -two cars that do the same thing sorta. 2 sports sedans and a sports car. Seems like a waste of money-why not keep the Jag and go to bed. It would be like me having my 4WD truck and the GT3
and replacing my chevy diesel with a CL 55 AMG or something-what does that get on trips to the mountains?

Ok guys, so at least we're going to keep it close to the Porsche marque... she decided the E55 is stupid as we really need an all wheel drive, so now we're trying to locate this car instead - 05 Audi A8L in black on black with low miles. I still love the Cayenne, but she prefers a sedan with awd.

Not a pic of me!

Peace out folks,

An A8L for $40K.
That might be a bit of stretch. Nice car though.

Yeah, it looks like we'll have to stretch to $50-52k for a nice 2005 A8L with low miles.

You should be able to get one for just under $50k. Make sure you get a CPO. I have a black with amaretto interior. Excellent IMO.

Thanks, David. Just under $50k is exactly where we need to be. Do you have an 05 or 06? Pics? You could PM me if you have the time... I like the amaretto (yellowish gold) interior alot but all black seems so much easier to maintain.

I have an '04. Amaretto is very easy to clean. Floor and most of the door is black, it's just the seats, headliner and door inserts are amaretto. Mine looks pretty good even after 3 yrs. I can't post any link or images since I don't have enough posts or not a paid member or something. But if you go to riversideaudi website, and click preowned and screen for A8s, you see a few with black or midnight blue exterior and amaretto interior. I'd recommend amaretto over black.

Steve:

If you are going to get the A8 you have to check out "Transporter II."

Rome, you're close... Steve needs "transporter" technology and a Star Trek communicator because he needs to be "beamed up" from wife transportation purchasing.

You think it's bad on your end, having to read all this crap, well... I'm living it! She has now nixed the A8L as the rear headrest in the rear seat hits her head wrong and isn't comfortable. Same with the S500 4matic, and the steering on the "S" is dead to her.

We drove the Lexus RX350 which she loves, but her mom can't easily get into it as it steps up a bit instead of down like a sedan, she's really old.

8 million cars later, we drove an Acura RL today. She loves it. We're bringing our kid this weekend to sit in it and if she gives us the thumbs up, that it's comfortable to her, then we're in.

Call us crazy. We don't care. We just wanted the right AWD vehicle that fit our needs.

One reason I'm single is that I get to drive whatever I want. My girlfriend gets to drive what I have and loves it.
