Well, given that my work title is "Supreme Technical Dictator for Life".....I even designed a nice uniform to wear, please allow me to repeat one of my favorite sayings (since you mentioned Caesar):
Rome did not create a great empire by having meetings....They did it by killing all those who opposed them.
Granted, it's got nothing to do with this discussion, I just like it.

Not missing anything at all.
#1. I'm a fan of VAG TDI diesels...some of the best in the world IMHO.
#2. I don't mind buying/owning an Audi, since I know when I'm buying it that it's an Audi.
#3. The 'new' Audi front end styling is beginning to grow on me a bit
#4. If I want a Porsche, then I"ll buy a Porsche, not a Cayenne.

Okay, now you're starting to make sense to me on all fronts (except for the front of that Q-7). I don't know whether to worry more about you or about me.

Well, are you going to share your thoughts with the rest of the class?

Have you finally figured out the enigma of 'ltc'.....many psychologists/psychiatrists/men of faith have tried and failed.

Ah, "the endless enigma of ltc." A vapor as ethereal and flammable as nitromethane. He is a combination of both Yoda and Darth Vader, fire and water, silk ties and motor oil under fingernails, the amoeba and the man behind the microscope, brimstone evangelist and barstool poet, Dorothy and The Wizard.

Okay, that settles it. I'm definitely more worried about me.

"A prophet is despised in his own country, and in his own house, and among his own kindred."
Mark 6:1-6

Personally, I'm always amazed at how intelligent and respected I can be out in the world, and how stupid I apparently become when I cross the threshold of my house. Then I seem to drop another 40 IQ points on this forum.

Besides, you thought what I said about ltc was NICE? Damn, I must really be slipping.

My thoughts exactly. Calling Leon an amoeba, Yoda and Dorothy? Big ones, sigs, and brass ones! :-D

Can we have one of the forums cartoonists quickly do a sketch of what the symbiosis of above would look like?

P.S. Yoda, I'm afraid I'll need your infinite wisdom. Reverse clunk with a twist is back.

I thought you were in charge of the Official Forum T-shirt design?

Without even touching the car, my guesses would be (in order of ease/cost):
1. Your cardan shaft, likely showing its age due to the previous clunking abuse.
2. Transmission....again, due to previous clunking abuse.
3. Transfer case....again, due to previous clunking abuse.

Then again, what do I know. I'm wearing red ruby slippers and pajamas with a flap in the back.

There's this sound that appeared within the past few days. When I depress & let go of the brake pedal (while car is parked) it sounds like something opens & closes. Sound is coming from the gearbox area. Very loud, distinct sound. If my hand is on the shift ****, I even feel it.

Multiple footprints on these forums like an amoeba.
Wise in the ways of PAG like Yoda.
Yearning for simpler, air-cooled times like Dorothy.

I thought those were the compliments!

Good luck with your "clunker." Somehow I never thought I'd use the same term to describe a $100k vehicle as I did with my older brother's DeSoto.
