Now I am confused. My lights work fine. The Cayenne thinks they don't but still operates them fine. Why would I tape Maglites to the trailer?

If you have a moment, please do a quick count of the lights/bulbs (marker lights, brake and directional).
You may be surprised how many lights you can put on a 20' trailer.
'skl' has an ATC that had "too many" lights and I know of a 10' (yes TEN foot) trailer that had as many lights as a 20'......all of the above referenced cars threw the "!"......but only one Cayenne that I know of has ever been documented for leaving the driver totally in the dark.....no names please.

Pfft, stepladders.
I will just put tape over the ! indicator. Lots of people use that method for the "Check Engine" light.

I have posted the results. Everything works fine. Stray indicator lights on the dash don't seem to affect how things work.

Hold that thought.....
You may want to PM 'skl' and ask him about his headlight experiences when one is a bit too far over the 'magic number' of lights.

I have had no problems trailering with my 06 Turbo. I went to Mont Tremblant and WGI in the past month without any issues.

Open trailer/ small number of incandescent lights = PAG/Westfalia 1D6 lighting load assumption = no "!"
Similar to boat trailer.
It is LED and/or "too many" incandescent lights on enclosed car haulers (proper trailers)

I agree.. At least there is a combination that will work. Too bad PAG has kept it a secret. I have to thank ltc for helping me figure out how to make trailering work.
