Removing the rear badging
Just got my new (used) 2006 CT and want to remove the rear badging so as to be a little more stealth. It will also look good with the black-out package IMO. It looks like a sticker but is on pretty good, even in the heat we've had in the last week. I've seen a lot of member's rides without the rear designation so it obviously gets done but how hard is it? Anyone removed these and have any advice? Much appreciated.

Did you heat the area (say with a hair dryer) up to make the glue a little more "flexible"? Would this be bad for the paint - I doubt it given the amount of heat the sun throws off the black paint . . .

The preferred dental floss used by professionals for such jobs is 'Glide dental gloss, made with Gore Tex fiber'.

Hey just be careful when you pull the badge off...they tend to bend and crease. IF you ever want to put it back on, it would be better to use the old one than to shell out a hundred to two hundred bucks on one at Porsche...

I know that this is an old thread but I thought about it last night when I backed my CS out of the garage with the tailgate open. I heard this sickening crunch. Got out to see that the only thing damaged was the plastic lettering, which was smashed into a million peices.
Just peeled off the rest of it, got out the detail spray, and viola! - instant de-badging. It looks really good, too!
So if anyone does not want to use dental floss they can give my method a try.
