Yep, everything needs to come out. I started with the latch cover and worked my way around. It's a pain but not difficult, just tedious.

I have the instructions 7003191. Mudman sent them. However, on page 3 there are 6 steps that must be done first, and I need those instructions. See attached (Mudman I am using your .pdf, thank you.)

Velazvod - you're asking in the wrong place. Your 958 has it's own forum.. I'd suggest posting there in a new thread. Someone will have done it.

I pulled a tow package from a scrapped Cayenne and the controller is buried behind here

AllData does not have these instructions and it doesnt look like some of the above are active anymore.
There is a Rennlist thread on 958 that has pictures of panel removal and it is similar enough.
The short answer is to work from the top down. remove C pillar and D pillar and then it becomes obvious from there.
Panel stuff is SO tedious and I did see there are changes from year to year with fasteners so best to go slow
