Default how do I remove the small glovebox under passenger seat?

I need to remove the small glovebox under the passenger seat. Something that was in there got jammed up in it and it and I can't close it completely.

Thanks in advance

The box is captured by the frame under the seat. The easiest way is to remove the seat, then remove the frame, or not. If the seat is unbolted, then rocked back, into the rear seat area, the electrical connections may be left connected.

Both the seat and the frame are held with triple square fasteners.

The seat and frame bolts are specified for replacement, once removed. It may be that the thread locker coating on new fasteners is good for only one usage.

So I have really have to take the whole seat out? Is there any way to get at the thing from behind the seat?

Is the glovebox like a drawer in that it is in a sealed frame, or does it run on a track?

Thanks Wingless for your reply...

Ahhhh, you bring back memories.. I had this happen TWICE! First time, I think they removed the seat.. the second time they replaced it. NO problems since (probably two years ago when it happened). I'd just stop by the dealer when you have other warranty or a service visit planned. Since then all I put in there is a flashlight (small) and the owner's manual.

Is this a warranty item, or will i have to pay for this?

Warranty if you're under 50K and 4 years. Should be no problem.

My recollection is that the parts obstruct access, without removing the seat.

If this is a warranty repair, the screws should be replaced, once removed.

Default My manual is in that drawer and can't get it open all the way.

I did remove the seat but don't see any sort of release tab for the drawer.

Anyone else gone through this before?

I didn't even realize there is a second glovebox under the passenger seat. In my defense, the cayenne is new to me.
