Default Add XM To PCM 2.1

I already have XM added to my CS that I installed myself using a wired setup instead of relying on the built in wireless on the XM unit. Would anybody know if you can add Serius or XM to a new (2005 or 2006) Cayenne that does not come from the factory with the option, but does have PCM?

I know that on a Lexus it is a plug and play type module that can be fitted to the existing radio, and wonder if it is the same on the Cayenne or if you do not get the option from the factory you are stuck with using a wired setup and separate receiver.

Thanks

There is an 18 page Technical Information bulletin, Binder-9, #12/05, dated 9/19/05, Satellite Radio Installation Instructions, No. QV4/QV8, for USA (CO2) use only, with PCM21. (PF1) outlining the AfterSales installation of satellite radio into a PCM Cayenne.

Is there any chance you (or anyone else) can post the bulletin here or email it to me... My local dealership won't give me a copy, citing liability concerns.

Renntech.org is great for the DIY'er or for anyone who wants an understanding of what's going on with their Cayenne. The TSB files alone are worth it.

I've been trying all day long to log onto Renntech.org and I can't get the site to come up. Can someone else please check it and let me know if it's me or if there's something wrong with their site...

Thanks!

Pioneer Porsche in San Diego installed the factory Sirius in my 2006 CS. Flawless installation and operation.

Post Update

997 owners are successfully installing the Cayenne sat radio kit with their PCM....even though an official response from PCNA says it won't work.

Hmmn, I wonder who could have told these folks it would work anyways
