Are they drilled or cast holes?
Be careful with these types of rotors, as they can be prone to cracks forming between the holes. I would not use a rotor once the crack joins 2 adjacent holes......

The zimmerman rotors are drilled and not cast. At least that is what they are for the 951 and 944s. I will be replacing mine soon with non holed ones, although they have yet to crack with a number of heavy heavy days a sebring. On the cayenne you should be ok. What do you think ltc?

I've got 56K miles on original brakes WITH towing (don't ask).
Not really sure why you would want drilled/cast hole rotors on a Cayenne, but if you do go that route, I would just make it a habit to check for cracks, or perhaps even send them out for cryo.
Slotted rotors would probably be a bit better of a choice I suppose.
Besides, given your avatar, I'm likely to go along with whatever YOU say

However, if I were to guess.........
1. They look cool
2. Reduction in unsprung mass aids in steering response.
Tom was correct in going with slotted rotors. I could also see cryo treating the rotors as well.
