25 buck man. what a bargain!! Man, I'm getting old -- forgot to put the year.. the sunbeam was a 1963... so you got me beat.. it was an awesome car for a 16 yr. old.. but alas in 1973-74.. you couldn't get parts etc. etc. etc. here's a picture of a hardtop -- but to go from a convertible 2 door UK car to a Dodge 4 door piece of doo-doo was a little humbling!!

A 356 was just an old car. 914's were newly introduced qne they were way cool (and way beyond my teenage budget).

The last time I did european delivery I was driving on the autobahn at about 125MPH and this guy with his girl on the back of a motorcycle passed me like I was standing still had to be way over 150MPh . Later I stopped for coffee and saw the two of them sitting having some food , the guy driving looked no older than 18 but his girlfriend could not have been more than about 14 or 15 . I could not help but think about her parents and wonder if they had any idea that their daughter was riding around on the back of a bike at 150MPH + , but over there it is legal .

Legal...but stupid. Oh well, at least at that age those two wouldn't be drinking any alcohol.

funny you should brink that up ... the guy was drinking when I saw him . But seems everyone drinks at any hour in Germany . When I went to pick up my car at the Porsche factory at 10AM while on the factory tour I saw the assembly line workers drinking beer on their break .

Excellent my young apprentice. Your journey to the Dark Side is almost complete.

I don't drink (hmmn, probably explains a lot) but I do get a chuckle when I go to McDonalds in Germany and you get a beer with your Big Mac meal.
