Are they road force balanced? Have you had the alignment checked? There are guys here running 22's and not complaining of vibes but I think you are asking for it running such a set up. I don't have any vibes with my factory 20's but 18" wheels and tires would almost surely eliminate the vibration....good luck.

I can swallow that your 22's don't vibrate but I think you are way off stating that wheel size and alignment have nothing to do with vibrations. Care to elaborate?

Had a bad vibration around 70 MPH on my 22" Pirellis's. Had them rebalanced twice, (first time actually got better, second time actually got worse than the firt time). Finally I replaced the tires with BfGoodrich GForce tires and the problem seems to be cured...

It could also be bad tires, flat spotted, defects, etc or a bent wheel.

Stock Tire - 255/55R18
295/30R22 Diameter difference: 0.28%
285/35R22 Diameter difference: 2.72%
It is recommended to stay within 3% of Diameter...

My first post was not meant to say 22's are stupid and can't be balanced. In fact I suggested a road force balance to get them right. Fact is though, alignment, a very real Cayenne issue, and heavier wheel/tire combos with very short sidewalls both can easily contribute to wheel balance problems.

No shot intended. Since he clearly stated he just installed them (with the assumption they were new and not used) tire cupping from a bad alignment would not have happened yet. I think we both recommended the same.
