Default Cayenne saves the minister's life from an assassination bomb

I'm sure you have heard about the crazy assassinations that happened in Beruit , Lebanon starting with their president Rafik Hariri.

Well today, the terrorists tried to assassinate one of the ministers by implanting a bomb inside his car (He has a Cayenne Turbo).

The Cayenne exploded, but surprisingly, the minister didn't die. The body of the Cayenne was strong enough to resist the explosion and the minister did not die. Basically the Cayenne saved its owner's life from a guaranteed death.

Having "played" with explosives a while back, my first thought was that the car type (Cayenne in this case) was incidental; the type/size of bomb was the predominant factor in the type of damage to the unibody.
A Suburban would likely look similar for the same size device.
(Whoever did it should have used an incindiary device or a much larger conventional charge).
The occupants likely suffered from compression/concussion injuries mainly, with some evidence of fire, so let's add burns as well.

Also if this guy was a senior government official(,which I guess he must have been to be driving a cayenne turbo)....the car would have probably been strenghthened to cope with such a blast.I cant imagine someone surviving something like this otherwise.

just found out that the bomb was not in his car......it was in another car that tried to hit his but blew up nearby. The blast killed 2 people and injured 12 others.
