Default question on 2003 CS model

Hi, am considering buying a 2003 Cayenne S. Can anybody enlighten me what is the difference with the 2003 and 2005 models? Any changes?

Anything in particular I should be checking for when viewing the car? Tips and advice greatly appreciated

There isn't any real change between 2003 and 2005 except for bug fixes and cosmetic options (painted lower valence for example). Top problems from earlier cars:

- driveshaft vibration (40-50mph)
- wheel vibration (~70mph)
- acceleration hesitation
- misc electronic updates (keyfob, rear windshield wiper, tiptronic switches, navigation software)

Check the service records and make sure all the fixes are properly applied. Other than the bugs, it should be a reliable car.

I'm guessing you'll sleep better if this is a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) car with 2yr/100K warranty.
You can get a list of all of the TSB/recalls (brace yourself, it's not as short as you may hope) from renntech or alldata or a search of this forum.
Best of luck.

Thanks guys for the info and tips. I called my dealer today asking about the bugs. They said that these recalls and bug fixes only applicable to American cars (I'm in Singapore). And that so far there are no problems with the right hand drives we get in Singapore. Is this true? Can anyone enlighten me here. Thanks

That must be BS. I say these bugs extists on all markets.

Other differences than painted lower valances are dvd navigation and standard power closing of the tailgate on the '05 model.
