clear side markers
Any advice on what bulbs to use with the clear side markers. The kits say they come with the "correct" bulb, but I am not sure what that means.
Do I have to use a certain bulb?

The kit comes with orange bulbs to keep you legal in the US. I put the factory clear ones in it just looks better than the orange. They were easy to install also, just turn your wheel the opposite direction of the side you are working and remove the torx screws holding the inner skin. Back to above the wheel and you can bend the plastic back and remove the two torx screws holding the light in place. it takes about 20 mins per light.

Not as easy to do as the 911 which took all of 1 minute per side. I struggled with the inner panels on mine but it may have been easier if I had someone to help. Access may also be improved if you take out the headlights and work from that direction. I also went with the clear bulbs as it looks better. I doubt you'd ever find a cop that knew they were illegal...if I get stopped by a cop they never seem too concerned about the colour of my side marker lights!!

Sounds like the clear light is the way to go. On the install, I have the new front nose assembly here and am preping for the R&R once I get the painted grilles back and the clear side markers. Hopefully it will go smooth.

thanks for the pics and the info. This is exactly what I want. Will the dealer have the bluevision bulb, or can I get it at a NAPA or Autozone type store? Thanks

PIAA has some LED wedge bulbs. They are not listed on here, however i used them and they look great! Not too bright either, marking your CAY like its a UFO.

They are not listed here, but this is the brand. MSRP is around $25 bux for a pair. You want the LED bright white color. Not the blue or blue/white, make sure white only and LED.
